Catholic Church and Homophobia

So, Does really Catholic Church teaches to oppose Homo Sexuality in all ways? To be specific, as the descendants of Christ, Does Christ really teach that homosexuality is a wrong thing (sin) and it has to be suppressed or to be hated?  If we grasp the real essence of Jesus's teachings, He taught us to love everyone no matter what. That's why he shortened the ten old testament laws into two: 1) You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.  2) You shall love your neighbor as yourself. **WARNING: CONTAINS SPOLIERS.  The Great Indian Kitchen starred by Nimisha Sajayan and Suraj Venjaramoodu and directed by Jeo Baby is a movie that sparked some great discussions and tried to break the common norms that existed in the Malayalam film industry. The Title card "THANKS SCIENCE" itself shows the different aspects of the director's mindset and how he tries to break the common stereotypes that exist in society. The film discusses the issues homemakers face today as they come to their husband's homes and how their freedom and basic rights are denied by framing them into the so-called " perfect wife" concept. Freedom @ Midnight , a short film released by the youtube channel Music247 stars Anupama Parameswaran and Hakkim Shahjahan. Due to the theme and subject discussed by the film, it opened various eye-opening discussions all around the community.
