Catholic Church and Homophobia

So, Does really Catholic Church teaches to oppose Homo Sexuality in all ways? To be specific, as the descendants of Christ, Does Christ really teach that homosexuality is a wrong thing (sin) and it has to be suppressed or to be hated?
If we grasp the real essence of Jesus's teachings, He taught us to love everyone no matter what. That's why he shortened the ten old testament laws into two:
1) You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
2) You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Still, the people who claim to be his descendants and the leaders who rule them and lead them, teach the world that homosexuality is a sin and its a mental condition to be counseled and repaired with the right guidance. Even though some people are highly homophobic against these, some parts of the catholic church support the LGBTQ community and their activities. Moreover, there are also many famous catholic personalities who have openly admitted that they are gay or lesbian.
Around the world, Catholics vary in their support for same-sex marriage and their acceptance of homosexuality in general. Years of preaching by various levels of clergy members who have entirely different aspects on this subject have formulated the difference in opinion by the members. While some of them strictly stood upon the old testament teachings on how gay union is a sin and the ultimate aim for sexual intercourse is reproducing younger generation, others viewed the wider picture and advised everyone to accept every human as one of their own and bring them to the union under christ.
The public stand of the catholic church even in this modern era is fully confusing. The Catholic Church teaches that “homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered” and calls on gay people to practice “chastity,” though it also calls on Catholics to treat gay men and women with “respect, compassion, and sensitivity.” The same entity which clearly calls them "disordered" tries to create a sympathy wave or endorse their "christian core values" by advising their followers to see the LGBTQ community with compassion and respect. How can you respect someone if you don't agree their identity or accept who they really are? If you are not accepting them with your full heart, how can you show compassion towards them? The compassionate viewpoint of today's catholic church can only be seen as a mere hate-avoidance strategy in order to maintain their widely accepted public image. Unless and until the church tries to accept the community as a whole and tries to value their identity and emotions, everything done towards them can only be considered to satisfy the conflicting opinions.

Quite recently one message attracted my attention and I thought it would be good if i share it with this content. The following is a message which was forwarded to a youth organization under the catholic church which is very prominent in Kerala.
